Mayor launches London 2012 online arts diary
2nd Jun 2010
The diary has been created by the Mayor of Londons office in conjunction with tourism body Visit London.
The purpose of the planning tool is to provide citywide listings for tourists and Londoners in 2012, to help logistical planning for city services and allow cultural organisations who have registered to easily identify collaborative opportunities with one another.
Both large and small-scale events are being invited to register their events on the online calendar before December 31 this year, when registration will be closed.
Events can be registered even if not all the details have been confirmed and edited later and they do not have to be specifically related to the Olympic or Paralympic Games.
The diary will go live before January 1 2012.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson commented: Lets not hide our collective light under a bushel - dont miss your chance to be part of the calendar for 2012. Not only will it help you plan your own programmes for the year, it will also be a one-stop shop for Londoners and tourists alike wanting to find out everything cultural that is happening in the capital.
