PRESS RELEASE: Stage Management Conference 2013

Following the success of the first ever Stage Management
Conference in 2012, the Stage Management Association is proud to announce the
date for the Second Annual Stage Management Conference : March 17th 2013 at the Tricycle Theatre in North
London.
SMA Executive Director Andy Rowley comments:�
"The first conference was a brilliant idea and very well
attended, with great feedback from delegates�
-� members and non-members
alike.� For our second conference we have
chosen a larger and more flexible venue, and are assembling an impressive list
of speakers and industry experts for sessions such as �Swords, safety and cleanliness
-dramatic violence in the theatre' from RC-Annie, �Outside The Black Box - site
specific and platform performances', ��Stress
Management and Coping with Stress' (with colleagues from BAPAM), and �All you
need to know about Equity contracts' - so there will be a choice of sessions
for everyone.� As usual we will have many
industry experts represented in our foyer trade area, including mini �surgery
sessions' from Bambridge Accountants and representatives from ABTT and TAP on
hand to help SMA members activate their new TAP smart cards. We look forward to
welcoming all colleagues and especially our friends in the ABTT to take part in
a really informative and productive day, rounded off with a networking drink
and top class entertainment! "
The SMA have already heard from nearly 50 members
registering interest for the event- and although it is still three months away
they urge anyone interested in booking or receiving more information about the
