Red Tape Challenge - Theatres Act 1968

The Government's Red Tape Challenge is now focused on Sports and Recreation. This includes an opportunity to comment on the Theatres Act 1968.
Theatres Act 1968: This Act was introduced to abolish the censorship of theatre and make provisions in respect of theatrical performances, including; the presentation of obscene performances of plays, and the recording of performances by script. The Act also set out a licensing scheme for theatres, and regulated powers of entry and inspection of theatres.
